Welcome to just answer.
I am sorry to hear of your discomfort.
What symptoms do you have ?
burping, pain in chest, heaviness in middle of chest
Do you experience these symptoms often ?
all the time, but tonight is unusual
Tums can be taken to help ease out the symptoms of reflux .
This can be taken after a couple hours of zantac.
If the symptoms are not relieved immediately then I would suggest you get this checked in order to rule out a heart issue as you also do feel that these symptoms today are unusual.
If the pain is just due to the acid then tums will help in getting rid of the discomfort.
If this does not help then we should exclude a cardiac cause here.
I have no heart issues apparently, they have been checked
You can take the tums and it will not be a problem .
I hope you are getting my point ?
in the future is there a time span between taking zantac and tums? Yes, I understand you. Just wondering about the time span between zantac and tums
Yes,it is recommended that there should be a gap of an hour or two between the two.
As tums may decrease the plasma concentration of zantac if taken earlier.
You are welcome
Take care and god bless.
I wish you a speedy recovery and great health.
