Is Asparagus bad for gout

Customer Question

Is Asparagus bad for gout?

Asparagus is purine rich as vegetable foods.
Thus it is technically a food to be avoided in large quantity in a gout diet.
Eaten with a variety of vegetables it is not a problem.
the purine quantity is nothing like that of animal products
if someone is on a vegetarian or nutrient dense diet without much in the way of animal products then asparagus should not really be a problem.
good luck
