Resolved Question:

What does it mean when your palms and fingers itch with no visible rash or hives? The back of the hand does not itch as much. It's not a tingling sensation like when your hand goes to sleep and then comes out of it.

This itching is most likely related to diabetes.

Diabetes can cause localized itching in three ways:
Dry skin
Fungal infection
Poor circulation.

Any of these causes could cause itching in your hands.

Another possible cause, specially since its your hands, is Allergy. You should check out if you have started any new substance like soap, detergent, etc, using any new material like a new pair of gloves, or taking any new foods since the itching started.

There are other possible causes for itching like liver conditions, kidney conditions, etc. and these also need to be ruled out.

Hence you should show your doctor for this, to determine the cause of the itching. Overall, since itching is such a common symptom of diabetes, this is the most likely cause.

Till then, you should apply a moisturiser on your hands. You can also take an OTC anti-histaminic like Tab. Alavert 10 mg once a day. But you must show your doctor ASAP.
