i tested positive for amphetamines but i have never taken any. can you tell me what drugs could cause a false positive?

welcome to just answer. I understand your concerns
amphetamines are in the same class as a group of medications called stimulants. These medications are used in the vast majority to treat attention deficit disorder in adults and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder less frequently in adults. some examples are adderall, vyanse, stratera. Certain over the counter or herbal medicines can also cause this results but there is no data on which one these could be. Last but not the least it is a possibility that it was not urine sample and it was someone else's urine and the sample was mixed up. I will reccomend to recheck your urine sample.

I'm quite concerned because I was in the ER and they said it was from a drug interaction and that I tested positive for amphetamines. Ive never taken any kind of ADD or ADHD medications or any chinese herbs or the such, so I'm extremely confused. I go to a pain management doctor and he did a urine drug screen on Wednesday of last week and nothing showed up.

drug interactions are usually narcotics which makes the opiate positive or anti anxiety medications which make the benzodiazepines positive.
Based on what you are saying it seems like it was a mix up of urine samples and you should consider strongly to recheck the urine.
hydrocodone, carisoprodol, xanax (as needed), zoloft, ferrogels, trazadone, ambien, calcium, and a multivitamin. do i need to talk to my doctor about the various drug interactions?

;0yes you beat me to it hydrocodone will make opiate positive. xanax will make the benzo positive. i do not see anything here that would make amphetamines positive especially if you had a clean sample a few days ago. It was probably a mix up of samples in the ER. please repeat it again to be sure.
