I have chronic fatigue, sometimes foggy memory, lack of energy. How do I get a physican to check for adrenal gland malfunction. My CBC tests all came back normal. I do take thyroid medication for hypothroidism. My Dr. says it is stress.
Optional Information: Gender: female Age: 75 Already Tried: Resting, eating more green vegetables, raw sugar, I take a multiple vitamin, eat more protein.
Hello,
You can ask your FP to order a simple saliva test for the cortisol level. This will tell you if the adrenal glands are normal or not. You also need to get your thyroid hormone levels rechecked.
If your doctor is unwilling to do so, you can consult a internal medicine specialist for a second opinion.
I hope this helps.
