No, since the drug is in, not on the surface of, the hair.

There is actually some effect of cosmetic treatments on the concentration of some drugs in hair. The effect seems to be related to the degree of damage done to the hair.

These articles do show some effect, but the degree of effect reported is variable. As the last article suggests, this effect may be so small as to not be important.

You should NOT consider bleaching or coloring your hair as a way to beat a drug test.

is there anything that can alter tha hair folicle test?
Expert:  Family Physician replied 6 years ago.
If you mean, Is there a way to "beat" the test?

NO - the drugs are incorporated into the hair itself. Hair grows at approximately 1cm per month, and the standard hair collection is 3 cm.

To pass a test, you need to avoid using the drug(s) for at least 3 months.
