One of my nails is not growing back properly after I had my acrylic nails removed.
the nail doesnt seem to grow, is swollen and red around the nail bed , but not sore.

the texture and thickness has changed, seems to be really thin and bump near the nail bed, but relatively thick near the end of the nail.
the whole end of the finger is slightly englarged.

If there is a swelling, it could be a collection of pus underneath. AN infection of the nail bed is known as paronychia. Yes, you have to try and keep your finger dry and apply an anti-bacterial and antifungal dusting powder atleast 3 times a day! It would be wise to consult a dermatologist as well, as you may need a course of antibiotics.
