Hi,

Welcome to Just Answer...

Kindly tell me what drugs were you taking?

How is your pancreatitis now?Your pancreatic enzymes back to normal/symptoms resolved?

Where are you having candida infection...

Regards...

Customer replied 1087 days and 22 hours ago.

I have been taking 7.5 mg methotrexate once per week and 50 mg Enbrel Sure-Click once per week. Those have both been withheld for 2 mos. Meanwhile, one of my panc. enzymes (can't rembmer which) has returned to normal and the other is at 159.

The pancreatitis was not overly symptomatic even at its height--a dull pain right below my ribs, tenderness upon palpitation. Both have lessened, but not entirely gone.

The candida infection was manifesting with genital and rectal itching, torso hives with trigger foods (high glycemic index), irritability, mood swings. The doctor performed a blood antibody test that came back positive.

Thank you.

Thanks for the Input...

Well, although very rare, but yes, candida infection can cause pancreatitis itself, and it can also cause secondary infection of pancreas after pacreatitis due to any cause...

Therefore, the answer to your question is yes, candida infection can cause pancreatitis primarily, or it can also cause secondary infection of pancreas after pancreatitis....

I hope this answers your question...

Kindest Regards...
