Well, if the CT showed no abnormalities inside your abdomen and no hernia, the only other diagnosis is diastasis recti--a thinning of the rectus muscle of the abdominal wall. Why this would occur after thoracotomy is unclear. It isn't a dnagerous condition, but, if needed, a mesh can be sewn into the area to relieve the distension.
