Already Tried:
topical steroids have worked temporariliy in the past;
Noritate is not effective - seems to have aggrevated the condition on my current outbreak

It sounds like you have seborrheic dermatitis of the face.
The topical steroids (low potency) do work well but are limited to short term use as they can thin out the skin, which is not something that you want on your face. You can continue to use over the counter hydrocortisone intermittently.

Another thing that is helpful for this condition is Nizoral AD shampoo. Apply to your face once daily. This should help control your condition.

If these don't work, there are other treatments that your dermatologist can prescribe but these should be helpful for you.
