Hi, I am sorry to hear about your complication associated with hospital admission. These infections are called nosocomial infection. The lumps in your armpit can be cellulitis or inflammed lymph nodes. In either case, you may need antibiotics again for treatment. Due to your recent hospital admission, resistant bugs are likely to be found ( staph called MRSA). Please see a doctor for clinical examination & antibiotic prescription. If there is an abscess formation, drainage of pus may be needed for culture & sensitivity.

Yes, if you are coming out of c diff infection, then another antibiotic is a risk. But, your recent history of staph infection warrants a clinical examination to rule out abscess. In the meantime, you can try mupirocin ointment over the affected area to reduce inflammation.
