Hello Carol,
Could you please clarify for me? Are you asking about anti-HVA IgG antibodies or also something else?
thanks
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

The results are part of blood tests for a business medical for an overseas job. The medical was carried out in Portugal. Test results were

Ac.Anti-HIV 1&2 + Ag (MEIA) - negative

AgHBs (MEIA) - negative

Ac.Anti-HVA, IgM (MEIA) - negative

Ac.AntiHVC (ELISA) - negative

But the test Ac.Anti-HVA.IgG (MEIA) was positive and I want to know if this is something to worry about. What does it mean and should it prevent the patient from working in Middle East?

What this means is that you have either received the Hepatitis A vaccine or have had Hepatitis A in the past.
The good news is...you are now immune to Hepatitis A. The IgG antibodies show that you have had an exposure to the Hepatitis A virus and now have antibodies to it.
So there is nothing to worry about!
