Was mowing yard,sudden onset severe ankle burning pain on top of foot and front of ankle.
Thanks for your question. I would like to ask few questions from you. any swelling arround the ankle? any discoloration there? history of diabetes?
No ankle swelling or redness. I was only mowing for about 10 minutes, not difficult. My ankles started burning on the top of the foot and ankle not in the back. Then the muscles just in that area hurt so bad I couldn't finish I had to sit down. THe pain is relieved with rest. Nothing else in history except controlled hypertension and gerd. Also I quit smoking a few months ago and gaine about 12 lbs. Got 2 pounds off but still very overweight. Hope that helps

On both ankles at the same time. I am 57 female.
I'm sorry, I almost forgot. I just started taking zocor(simvistatin) about a week and a half ago.
