Is the skin broken?
Is the toe lying at odd angle to rest of foot?
How much swelling is there?

You can get good relief with
1.Ice compress for 5-7 minutes at at a time every hour or two.
2.Strap your big toe with the adjoining toe using a surgical adhesive tape or strips of cloth.
3.Take Motrin
4.Keep our foot elevated to decrease swelling

You may visit an ER if possible and get an x ray to determine the injury and subsequent treatment thereof.

Sawhney
