There are a number of things that could cause this type of rash including vasculitis - an inflammation of the small vessels in the skin. It is very dangerous to attempt to diagnose or exclude a serious medical cause of a rash without a actual physical examination.

Vasculitis can be a sign of a significant underlying medical condition, so I would suggest seeing your physician to exclude this condition.

Your rash may also be caused by something much less serious such as a mild folliculitis - inflammation/infection of the hair follicles. Again - an examination would be the only way to really make a diagnosis.
