Thank you for the input.

The feeling of numbness is related to nerve impulses .It can be due to pinching of a nerve supplying the area any where in its course . The other probables are low calcium or electrolytes, vitamins , thyroid diseases, diabetes, or other nerve diseases. Diminished blood supply can also cause this sensation. When the nail is not growing it sounds that there is lack of nutrition . This can occur with reduced blood supply. You need an examination by doctor to get the precise cause.

Hope this information will help you.
Wish your early recovery.
