Sharp, stabbing pain in the back of my head left side goes on and off, last 3-5 seconds, some palpitations, some numbness on my left eye since yesterday. I am a white female 44 yrs. old.

This is likely to be a condition called Occipital Neuralgia, in which a nerve called the occipital nerve shoots off for a few seconds or minutes. This conditon is not life threatening, but you will need to take a drug called tegretol. You should consult your doctor for this.
