Mazda 6 2005 stick shift , you can shift gears but it won't move, like it's not catching
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the brake switch?
Customer: No but wife was driving, hit bid dip in road, drove it a 1/4 mile no problems went to start in morning and car will start push clutch in, stick in any gear and nothing happens when u release clutch
JA: Are you fixing your Mazda2 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes myself was fixing to drop transmission and replace bearing and clutch fork and clutch plate
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi Im David, thanks for visiting the site. does the shifter feel like its catching the gears when just sitting still engine off and pedal out?

yes...i happen to be helping more than you....you're on the right track then sounds like the throw out bearing spring clip got shifted or came off. good luck
