Customer Question

Hi Pearl: My key fob has been acting up. Sometimes it won't lock my car, sometimes it won't start my car and other times it's fine. If it's battery, why would it work sporatically?
JA: Have you checked the fob's battery?
Customer: how do I check it?
JA: What is the model/year of your Mazda?
Customer: 2014 Mazda 3
JA: Are you fixing your Mazda2 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: nothing. just started happening this week. do I have to take it to my dealer?
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: nope. that's it

you most likely just have a weak battery inside the remote you will need to replace the battery . on the back of the remote you will see a tab push this will let you pull the metal key out then use a flat blade to pry open the remote look for the number on the battery and replace . if you have any more questions please ask if not please rate the service before you go thanks.
