If the battery in the keyless remote goes dead does the system need reset after you replace the battery?

No, the Transmitter does NOT have to be Reprogrammed / RESET
Be sure you used the same type Battery
Be sure the Battery was placed correctly
Be sure there is NO loose parts on the circuit board.

Transmitter should work after Battery replacement
IF NOT, then have the Transmitter Tested
Many Auto Parts Stores will do this for FREE
