The remote is not locking / unlocking, went to get a new remote after replacing battery, but my remote is good and working according to the shop
JA: Is this your first time dealing with this issue?
Customer: yes
JA: What is the model/year of your Mazda?
Customer: MPV 2004
JA: Are you fixing your MPV yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Only went looking for the fuse if there was any specific for it,... but couldn't find such in the fuse box
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi, if the remote is working then it may only require synchronizing with the vehicle,

here is a link to a video of how it is done, there is a text explanation in the description.

It's a fairly similar procedure for most of the Mazda's so may be worth remembering.

If this doesn't resolve it with a working remote, then the issue is likely to be more complicated and require diagnostics equipment.
