Customer Question

I have a 2000 mazda 626 with 139Kmiles. 2 problems with the gear shifter
When I go from drive into park, it does not go all the way into park- so I manually
push shifter TOTALLY forward before i turn off the car.
2. When I shift from drive into park, it no longer feels like it catches as I shift up into park
A visiting friend said there was a pedal lock out switch-under the brake pedal- but he
couldn't remember which way to turn that switch to help the shifter "grab"
Question- can you help me with these 2 issues?
