Hello, I'm Brandon - Mazda tech.

The ignition coils are the problem. The coils are common problem for the RX8. Typically they burnt out at 130k miles.

There are four coils for this engine. This is also a good opportunity to change out the spark plugs and use NGK Irdium spark plugs.

I would recommend using only Mazda brand coil not aftermarket coils for performance and reliability.

Please rate me positive, thank you!
