My 2009 mazda cx 9 now has a leaking "freeze plug". How would this happen? Is it common on this vehicle? It has only 98,000 miles and is regularly maintained.

rot is not normal...unless your is a cold weather area where lots of salt is used on the roads

it is yes...not normal for a 9 year old vehicle ...but if your in a cold weather area where lots of salt is used on the roads everything rusts
