Timing belt broke on my 2002 protege 5 2.0L pulled the head and had it checked,no bent valves (very lucky) My question is how do i set TDC with the crank and not be 180 deg.out?

Here is the full procedure for the timing belt on this model. The trick to getting cylinder at TDC compression stroke is to turn the crank until the ***** *****nes up on the crank, Then you set the cams. The cam marks won't line up if you are 180 off. They would be on the exact opposite side.
