Mazda B3000 V6LE: My 2000 Mazda B3000 truck is overheating

My 2000 Mazda B3000 truck is overheating but when I rev the engine til 2000rpm temp goes down to normal what is the problem it does this with or without a/c on
Just changed the radiator n hoses a year ago

Hello, my name is Bobby. Thank you for the question. Typically when the vehicle acts like this it is due to a coolant flow issue. Most of the time it is from a failing thermostat. If the thermostat is not opening fully then this will occur. It can also be caused by a bad water pump. If the impeller is failing then the coolant will not flow properly. I would replace the thermostat first and if that does not solve it then replace the water pump. Let me know if you need more help.
