We were driving down the road in my sons 2005 Mazda 6 heard a loud clank slowed down thought we hit an animal it did it again 30' or so down the road do we stopped and noticed what looked like tranission fluid was coming out bottom of tranission/engine area just had it towed any ideas

Hello, I'm Brandon - Mazda tech. It is most likely the transfer case in the transmission have gave up. Therefore causing the leak from the transmission. A rebuilt or new transmission replaced is require to fix the issue.
