I have purchased a Mazda 6 2.2D in Feb 2012 from new. It now has only 800mls on the clock. I am having problems going from 1st to second gear and from 3rd to 2nd gear. I have taken it back to dealer and technician says that this is normal for this vehicle. I tried a brand new car and it seemed the same as mine. It is very agricultural/ mechanical feel not a smooth action at all. Surely this cannot be correct. He mentioned syncromesh bedding in?

This is a manual transmission correct?
Yes
Ok there is a few issues with the wrong fluid or low fluid in the transmission from the factory have they checked this?
No
Ok then thats what needs to be done. There is no syncro burnishing on a new vehicle it should be smooth from the day you got the vehicle. What needs to be done is the fluid changed with the correct fluid and the correct amount installed .If there is still an issue then you need to contact Mazda corperate and tell them this issue. They will contact the dealer and make sure its fixed and possibly have to repair the transmission internally .At this point they should offer you another vehicle since there is only 800 miles on the vehicle.Just tell the dealer show me the same vehicle on the lot feels the same way which it will not so they admit there is an issue. This would be the next step.Hoped this helped.Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated.Cardoctor7441024.6516799769
