recently purchased a mx5 when stationery there i a smell of burning oil inside the car, its a 2006 model, any idea?

The most common area for oil leaks this car is from the oil filter, oil drain plug and trany sensor. You will need to inspect these areas to see where oil is leaking onto the exhaust, giving you a burning smell.


Inspect to make sure oil level is full and oil cap is on tight.
