hello.... its a DOHC 16V in line 4 cyl......as for size, there is nothing to say what it is, anywhere... the VIN No. (if usefull) is JM0GF10S100103710.. thankyou for yor help on this matter

I think Australian used a 1.8 and USA used 2.0 but not sure, so I will opt out and let an Australian expert help you.

TIMING BELT REMOVAL / INSTALLATION [FS]

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor.
  3. Remove the spark plug.
  4. Remove the P/S oil pump and bracket with the oil hose still connected.

  1. Remove in the order indicated in the image above.
  2. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  3. Verify the air gap. Refer to Powertrain Management.
  4. Start the engine and
  1. Inspect the pulleys and drive belt for runout and contact.
  2. Verify the ignition timing. See: Ignition Timing

GENERATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (FS 2.OL 4CYL)

WARNING: When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with generator terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal Injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the battery before performing the following operation .


  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the transverse member.
  3. Remove the front pipe.
  4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Verify the drive belt deflection/tension.

A/C Compressor Removal Note
Remove the A/C compressor with the pipe still connected. Position the A/C compressor so that it is out of the way.
