Is it only the drivers door? if so its the lock actuator
is this a costly fix?
it has broken down in the locked position.
not to bad they will have to take the panel off.
Can it be fixed at home?
I need this van so I can drive to and from school
i would recommend having a window tinting place do it. like a glass repair/ window tinting. it will be cheapest.
So you will have to use the passenger door til it gets fixed right?
or sliding door
Around how much would a repair like this cost?
You would need a somewhat skilled person to replace this. I would say if you can replace rear brake drums you can do this.
anyone like tat you nopw
Ok, my father can do that...
What will he need?
i will get him r and r for door panel and rand r for the lock actuator make sure it hasnt become unplugged.
brb with info
click here for door panel. and i will get lock rand and r for you now.
Also, how would he go about getting the door opened?... lol, I'm not that skilled when it comes to machines; I'm more of the law and crime kind of guy... haha
Ok, so, this should make the door back to normal?
click here for glass. i dont have emergency opening procedures so a lock smith may need to be called. I will check to see if my site has info in thier library in the morning. i will send it if they have it even after accept.. i have sent rtequest for info already.
if the key isnt working its the door lock actuator yes.
make sure it isnt half closed you know what I mean. close it all the way. maybe push in on it and see if it will unlock to free it up.
your very welcome
ok... so, now, what do i do to end the conversation?
an accept means that i helped you and will close our question but i will send info if they have it. positive feed back and bonuses are greatly appreciated.
