What I have are 8 homework questions that **require show work, rather than just the answer obtained via calculator. 1. It is claimed that the mean weekly grocery bill for a family of 4 is less than $145. A random sample of 22 grocery bills revealed a mean of $135, and a standard deviation of $23. Is there suffucuent evidence to support the claim at the 0.005 significance level using a t-test?Identify known values sample population SLHypotheses Ho: Ha:Test CriteriaTest StatisticDecisionConclusion2. It is claimed that the mean weight of cereal in boxes is 13 ounces with a standard deviation of 0.26 ounce. A suurvey of 34 boxes yields a mean weight of 12.85 ounces. Is there sufficient evidence to reject the claim at the 0.05 significance level using a z-test?Identify known valuessample population SLHypotheses Ho: Ha:Test CriteriaTest StatisticDecisionConclusion3.It is claimed that the mean lifetime of an Ever-Britelight bulb is greater than 1000 hours. A random sample of 325 of these lightbulbs reveals a mean of 1025 hours, with a standard deviation of 98 hours. Is there sufficient evidence to support the claim at the 0.01 significance level using a z-test?Identify known values sample population SLHypotheses Ho: Ha:Test CriteriaTest StatisticDecisionConclusion4. Use the table from problem 4, where x is the number of toddler children being cared for and y is the number of headaches a week.a) Draw a scatter plotb)What type of linear correlatioon do x and y have? Check the answer.Positive Linear Correlation or Negative Linear Correla-tion.c)Determine the equation of the regression line in reference to the number of toddlers compared to the number of headaches.______________________________________________________d) Use the regression equation to predict the expected number of headaches per week a mother gets who cares for 5 toddlers, if meaningful. If not meaningful, explain.____________________________________________________________________________________________________e) Use the regression equation to predict the expected number of headaches per week a mother gets who cares for 25 toddlers, if meaningful. If not meaningful, explain.________________________________________________________________________________________________________6.Use the given data to test if there is a significant linear correlation between a person's age and the number of hours of daily television watching at the 0.05 significance level.x (age) / 18 24 36 40 58_____________________________________ Hypotheses Ho: Ha:Test CriteriaTest StatisticDecisionConclusion7. a) Circle the r value below that would most likely estimate the amount of linear correlation between the following:x= number of ice cream cones sold in Californiay= number of touchdowns the Jaguars score this yearr= -0.524 r=0.001 r=-0.936 r=0.719b) Which of the following shows the strongest linear correlation/ Circle it.r= 0.799 r= -0.824 r= 0.539 r= -0.2018.a) Give an example of the variable y in which x and y would have a positive linear correlation.x= the number of cars on the highway.y=______________________________________________________b) Give an example of the varible y in which x and y would have a negative linear correlation.x= the price of a gallon of gas.y= _____________________________________________________c) Give an example of the variable y in which x and why would have no linear correlation.x= the number of games that the FL Gators win.y= ___________________________________________________The urgency response for these homework questions is by Sunday 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Already Tried: I always try Kahn Academy first. However, to supplement the videos on kahn academy.com, I use my own reference books. The books are more imformative than explainative on showing examples and breakdown process of solving the problems. Study groups are also the options I have tried, but they're not always reliable because sometimes students that form these groups have other work obligations, study obligations, etc.
Welcome and Thanks for requesting me. I can assist you with these questions. But can we split them into three groups, so you will acceot 3 times? Let me know.Thanks.
That's fine as long as I meet the deadline for my homework on Monday.
Yes, sure I can. I will post the solutions within 24 hours from now.For Q6, please provide the data on Numbers of hours of TV vieweing. It is missing.Thanks.
Did you get the missing data I just sent for Question #6? I must have statistics for a Criminal Justice and Psychology Degree. The claim is that it will be needed for research in CCJ careers for studies like the number of crimes in metro, state, country, as well as studying prison population, recidivism rates, etc. This is the class that is next to my last class of research methods, and then I'll be finished with the degree. Later on, I will get a Masters in Criminology, and Sociology and specialize as a victimologist helping crime victims. The payoff will be the personal fulfillment of helping others who are hurting. Thank you for being such a great help to me, toward the nearing end of my studies. Literature and English Composition, Humanities and Psychology are my better subjects, as well as classes requiring essay exams, or writing speeches. Consider my thank yous and appreciation for your help as a virtual hug for the help you have so kindly provided me.
We can't exchange emails on this site. Please post the data in that posting itself as a reply.Thanks.
Hi
Here are solutions to Q1 and Q2
I hope that helps. Let me know if you need any clarifications on my answers. I will be happy to provide them. Else, please give a rating for my answer.
Thanks.

Here are solutions to Q3 and Q4
Here are solutions to Q5, Q6, Q7 and Q8
Hello, You accepted my answer only once. We had agreed that you will accept 3 times. That's why I posted the 8 answers by making 3 separate parts. Please accept the other two also separately. Otherwise I am not compensated enough for my effort.Thanks.
So which ones do I need to go back and accept? Also, I tried clicking on bonus, and I got a crazy answer, "You do not have access to view these files."
You need to accept the last two postings separately (The one that has answers to Q3, Q4 and the one which has answers to Q5, Q6, Q7 and Q8)
