Thanks for requesting me!

Suppose you want to add two fractions

5/6 and 1/8

first find the Lowest common denominator that is LCM of 6 and 8
6 = 2 x 3
8 = 2 x 2 x 2

LCM of 6 and 8 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 = 24

5/6 + 1/8

Now make the denominator 24 for both fractions

5/6 = 20/24
1/8 = 3/24

5/6 + 1/8
= 20/24 + 3/24

now just add the numerators and keep the denominator 24

= (20+3)/24

= 23/24

Answer: 23/24

I hope it will help.
