I have a C80 raymarine MFD in a catamaran sail boat.The C80

Customer Question

I have a C80 raymarine MFD in a catamaran sail boat.
The C80 unit has issues and cant afford to replace with new e technology equipment at this time. The radar and other functions are operating OK, so to minimize cost I wish to drop replace the display unit with another.
To increase my choice options that are for sale does the E80 directly connect to existing hardware and be compatible with the c80 radar auto pilot etc.
It appears to have the same template foot print as the C80
What are the differences between C80 and E80
Is there an advantage of the E80 over the C80
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated

The "E" series display can be swapped in directly in place of the "C" series, it does has more connections on it, but that doesnt matter - it will still function perfectly fine.

Note that the E80 is much thicker than the C80, so you will need to ensure you have sufficient space available behind it if you want it to fit flush.

The E80 also has the ability to network and display two different chartplotters if you wish to.
