I have a furuno fcv-271, the problem is that it has stopped

Hello , I have a furuno fcv-271 , the problem is that it has stopped reading the bottom , I have the furuno symbol in the middle of the screen , the depth appears to be still reading in the bottom left , but have lost bottom mapping completely .
I have done a self diagnostic check all comes up ok

Hi Roger,

You will need to check the wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion.

Remove the cable connections and firmly reattach them.

Check the cable for continuity.

If the cable checks out ok, then you will need to try fitting a replacement transducer.
