JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?
Customer: I had it on facebook
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: no
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: i tried shutting it off and back on and it said i should change my password ***** it will not accept a new password

Do you mean everything is frozen, even if you press the Home button (which is the button located at the bottom of the iPad's screen)?

On your iPad, can you please press and hold both the Power (On / Off) button and the Home button (which is located right below the screen) together for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears, then wait a bit, then let me know what happens?
