Customer Question

I have an iMac with yahoo email and iCloud set up. Neither of my email addresses will receive mail.
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?
Customer: I'm no wizard but I've been using my iMac for about six years and my iPhone 6 Pluse for about 2 years. The phone seems to receive mail but the desktop quit receiving mail.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Turned off and on. Both the phone and the desktop. Both keep asking me to install verification codes.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Nothing that I could understand

Hi i'm just following up if this worked for you?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I managed to turn off two-step verification on the iMac, but the imap address for iCloud incoming mail remains grayed out and I can't receive mail in my att yahoo account or my iCloud account

Please check iCloud Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Go to Settings > iCloud > tap your Apple ID.
  2. Tap Password & Security.
  3. Tap Turn off Two-Factor Authentication.

Please delete your imap account and setup account again as you mentioned it's greyd out. It should work fine after that.
