So wait you replaced the RAM then it started acting up then you replaced the HD, logic board and the video card? Did you ever put the old RAM back in to see if the problem was gone before you did all that? You have basically replaced the whole computer if that is correct?

no

Customer: replied 5 months ago.

Expert:  Mike replied 5 months ago.

So you really have replaced the hard drive, logic board and the video card?

Expert:  Mike replied 5 months ago.

Why did you replace the RAM in the first place was it damaged before or after you removed it?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
exchange logic board, original board did give video but no chime, same hd installed
Expert:  Mike replied 5 months ago.

Why did you replace the RAM in the first place was it damaged before or after you removed it? You originally said, "replaced hd.". So that is not accurate?

Expert:  Mike replied 5 months ago.

Put the original install disk in and restart holding the C key. If you don't have it you can get one here: http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

1. upgraded ram 4 to 8g, worked fine, started not booting up only to white screen, used cmd,r,p shift to start worked for awhile eventually that stopped working. boot to white screen with apple logo & progress bar 3/4 way then stop. tried making startup disc failed. I then assumed hd problems, tried to clean install of sierra from disc util. or backup, failed. did give choice of backup or hd failed. would boot, no chime. I ordered logic board online(?), have boot and chime but black screen, have tried original ram same results.
