My daughter gave me an apple iPhone 4s. When I put my simm

My daughter gave me an apple iPhone 4s. When I put my simm chip in it tries to register my phone. It says it is already connected to an is loud account. It is not listed as a device on her account out. This exchange took place while I was in hospital and I am afraid I screwed something up help!
JA: Have you contacted anyone about your account?
Customer: No this is the first
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Yes it wanted an update when she gave it to me and it was done
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I tried looking in her apple I'd and the two that I have. Other than that I have no clue
