have 2 iPad Pro's. My husband's is dysfunctional. has locked him out requesting passcode for siri. He has used ony two passwords during setup and has tried both. the iPad is not responding to unlocking with his thumb.
JA: When did you last reset your username and password?
Customer: He just opened it for Christmas today. we were in the process of setting it up.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: He just opened it today
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: It won't let him in to trouble shoot.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: We had a difficult time getting established with cellular service with my husbands. Mine will not accept my yahoo email account and I can't seem to get my camera to shut off.

The only way to bypass the lock is to perform a factory reset..

  1. From a computer, go to icloud.com/find.
  2. If prompted, sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Click All Devices at the top of your browser window.
  4. Select the device you want to erase.
  5. Click Erase [device] to erase your device and its passcode.
  6. Now you can restore from a backup.
