My IPhone will not charge
JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?
Customer: ios 10
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: yes
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: it wont come on and it does not show that it is dead. I have tried different outlets. I also tried cleaning out the charging port.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?

Approximately how old is your iPhone?

Are you using a computer usb cord to charge it, or a wall charger?

If you try connecting it to a computer is it recognized there?

I tried hooking it up to a computer and it was not recognized. The charger I am using I did not get from the apple store.
