Can't get Apple TV Remote to work. New battery
JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?
Customer: It's Apple TV, not on Mac
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Held a lot of buttons down on the remote (and cussed a lot) ;)
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?

  1. Simultaneously press the Menu and Volume Upbuttons.
  2. Hold for 2-3 seconds.
  3. Your remote should reset and return to pairing mode.
