Customer Question

I have an IPhone that's about 10 months old. It's fully charged and updated. Today it suddenly went totally dead. No indication of life even when plugged in with a charger. What can I do to revive it?
JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?
Customer: The operating system that comes with the phone.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Yes, I installed the latest one that was pushed to me last week.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I've tried turning it on and off -- but it's totally dead so I can't do anything with it.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: If I have to do a reset, will I lose any information?

Have you tried holding both the Home and Power buttons on your iPhone for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen, then wait a bit and check?
