Hi David. My laptop updated to windows 1 (automatically) and the iTunes won't work, I did lost most of my office app during the download which I have back now, however the iTunes won't download. I keep getting an error. I need the iTunes quite urgently because I updated my phone software using wifi & I need to then link it onto my iTunes in order for my information (contacts, etc.) to be retrieved back onto my phone Currently the phone is working, however, I don't have contacts (saved contacts).
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your laptop, and what operating system are you running?
Customer: Windows 10 on a Dell
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Yeah, on Monday
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Honeslty Pearl, I don't know how to answer that question. I don't know if it's safe to say none and maybe request your help in getting the matter resolved Ive downloaded office 2013 today for work purposes
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Are you directing me to another department? Honestly, that's the only problem I am having currently with my iTunes, the fact that they won't download... I need them to download so I can have my information back

I could be many things, we can go through them If you want:

  • Security Software - could be blocking the download
  • .NET Latest not installed
  • No shared resources
  • Corrupt previous install of iTunes that needs updated to a new version first
