JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?

JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: on the computer or ipad?
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: none yet. I have just begun to research it. Nothing newer than 2013 out there.
