Hello. My name is***** to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply momentarily.

Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

If you are on your mac, what browser are you using giving you that error?

Safari, Chrome etc?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Chrome, Opera, Firefox
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

Are you getting errors in all three browsers?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Will this guarantee a fix? and is this in addition to the $25?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Just walk me through it please. Thank you
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

I'm sorry? I didn't ask anything like that? If you are seeing something about fees, it is a remote support

offer by the automated system.

Yes, the remote gets refunded fully if we are not successful. If you want written, just keep typing here

and ignore the offer. (sorry, autogenerated)

Okay, so are you getting errors for facebook login in all three browsers?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

Is this the only site with that error, and can you check your phone for me and log out of facebook

and log back in and tell me if it is successful?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
The phone works fine
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
You still with me?
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

Lets start a few simple repairs, then we will wipe a browser/clear it and check again

First, i would recommend getting rid of CCleaner. It changes your registry keys and is more

damaging than good. Then you need to download Avast for mac and run it.

yes, im with you. still typing directions. i will send the rest in one second. I want to get you the avast link

Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

This is for avast:

https://www.avast.com/en-us/free-mac-security

Download, install and run the program for clean up. Then,

Open your finder ( magnifying glass ) type in disk utility, and launch the disk utility application.

On the left side of the disk utility window, click your mac hd, then at the lower right hand side, click repair permissions .

Then,

Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R.
Turn on your Mac.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.
Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
Release the keys.

Restart your mac and go into firefox.

Then follow this guide to reset firefox:

https://malwaretips.com/blogs/reset-firefox-settings/

Then sign into your facebook and tell me what you see?

Ok. Avira is causing a conflict. Have a wait a few minutes for uninstall before I can install and run Avast
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
almost done
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

Okay. Take your time. I am monitoring your responses from email when it comes in.

I will be at my desk until tonight other than just away for a few minutes at a time.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
ok thanks
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Looks like Avast is going to take a while
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

That is okay. I usually prefer hitman pro, but it is 'glitchy' with macs if able to be ran at all.

Avast is the most compatible for macs that i use regularly due to high results.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I mainly use Chrome. Will that make a difference when I reboot?
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

We are going to try firefox first. If it is successful, we will move on and check chrome and reset it

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Ok...
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
What time are you here until? It's 2:35 NY time and it's only at 9%...
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

I am on EST as well. I hear my email 'alert' when you reply. I wont be far away. Take your time.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Good to know. I'll be back and forth to check the Avast progress, then I'll do the steps you suggested earlier
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 8 months ago.

Thank you. Just reply when done.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
It didn't work
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
See for yourself
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Hello?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
You there? Facebook still not working after completing the steps
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Didn't work so I requested a refund that your company took before anything was resolved
