I have a ton of files;.MOV, MP4,.AVI, etc. on my MAC OSX,8.5. What's the easiest way to delete them one by one?

I presume you mean Mac OS X 10.8.5 not 8.5

There are many ways to delete a file. You can select it and press Command-Backspace which moves it to the Trash. You can select a range of files and do this, then right click the Trash icon and click Empty Trash.

You can also right-click a single file , click move to Trash. Then right click Trash and click Empty Trash.
