I bought a new iPad Air and want to give my old one to someone else. How do I remove my email and add theirs
JA: Just to clarify, what email service provider are you using?
Customer: Yahoo
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Nothing...I don't know what to do

I would recommend doing a reset on your iPad. This removes all your private information and accounts, which in turn makes the iPad like you got it when it was new.

  3. Now you will have to enter your Apple ID password. ...
  4. The reset process can take a minute or two, after which you'll see the welcome screen asking you to swipe to continue.

If you just want to remove the email, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Settings app and choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
  2. Under the “Accounts” section tap on the account you wish to delete
  3. Confirm the email address / account is accurate, then tap the large red “Delete Account” button, and confirm when again when asked to delete the account.

To add an email account.

  1. Tap the Settings icon on the Home screen.
  2. In the Settings dialog, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Tap Gmail, Yahoo!, or whatever email provider you are using.
  5. After iPad takes a moment to verify your account information, tap Save.
