I sent each of my grandsons money on the apple apps site

I sent each of my grandsons money on the apple apps site under send money. We are unable to access these funds from their kindle. How do we do this so we can add it to funds available?

You have gifted and amount of money from your iTunes account, to your grandsons accounts.
This is only redeemable in iTunes, they can only receive that money in iTunes and spend it in iTunes.

Kindle is an Amazon product, and you cannot access the iTunes or App Store from a Kindle.
So to redeem the gift your grandsons will need to use an Apple Mac, iPod, iPhone or iPad.
They cannot spend it on their kindles I'm afraid.

From the above article it says:

"If you want to cancel a gift, you can contact Apple Support up to two days before scheduled delivery."

The only way to check if these can be refunded is to phone Apple and speak to a representative.

Actually, I apologize. These are iPad mini's insred if kindles

Oh well then that is a different kettle of fish. You are in luck as you can redeem those gifts on an iPad.

They can redeem the gift in the iTunes Store, the App Store or the iBooks store.

To redeem open one of those Apps on the iPad, and tap 'Featured'.

Next scroll to the bottom of the Featured section of the store and tap 'Redeem'.

Their account balance should now update with the gifted amount.

I have done this and all that comes up is how to redeem a gift card. That additional amount I gifted isn't showing up.

Ok, you can resend the gift from your iPhone until it is redeemed.

To do so follow these steps:

  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap iTunes & App Store.
  • Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
  • Tap View Apple ID. You might need to sign in.
  • Tap Gifts.
  • Tap the gift that you want to resend.
  • Tap Resend Gift. You can edit or change the recipient email address for your iTunes Gift as long as your recipient hasn't redeemed your gift. To edit or change the recipient's email address, tap their email address on the Gift detail screen.

Ive followed the steps, but money is still not appearing. Is there some kind of time factor? Like tomorrow or something?

When you sent the gift you sent to their email address.

Try to login to the email account they were sent to and see if the email was received.

After re-sending it can take an hour or so to show up in their iTunes balance.

Have you located the email of the gift you sent to their email address associated with their iTunes account Apple ID?

On their devices, in the Featured section, scroll to the bottom to see their balance.

You have tried everything that can be tried from this end. You have tried to re-send the gift from your iTunes, and nothing.
This can happen but rarely. In these cases the only people who can resolve it are the iTunes Customer Support people.

They can only be contacted using a request form, but they will reply to your request. They are not contactable by telephone.

Complete the form and submit it and they will check the accounts on their end to see what is causing the problem and fix it for you. They should reply within 24 hours.
