Hi my name is ***** ***** to JustAnswer. I am reviewing your question and will reply ASAP.
You have gifted and amount of money from your iTunes account, to your grandsons accounts. This is only redeemable in iTunes, they can only receive that money in iTunes and spend it in iTunes.
Kindle is an Amazon product, and you cannot access the iTunes or App Store from a Kindle. So to redeem the gift your grandsons will need to use an Apple Mac, iPod, iPhone or iPad.They cannot spend it on their kindles I'm afraid.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reply and ask me, I will be only too happy to help.Sincerely,David.
For more information on gifting you can check this link:
Please bear with me another couple of minutes and I will check if you can apply for a refund of those gifts.
From the above article it says:
"If you want to cancel a gift, you can contact Apple Support up to two days before scheduled delivery."
The only way to check if these can be refunded is to phone Apple and speak to a representative. The telephone number calling from within the US is 1-***-***-****
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Oh well then that is a different kettle of fish. You are in luck as you can redeem those gifts on an iPad.Bear with me a moment I will get you the instructions. Thank you.
They can redeem the gift in the iTunes Store, the App Store or the iBooks store.
To redeem open one of those Apps on the iPad, and tap 'Featured'.
Next scroll to the bottom of the Featured section of the store and tap 'Redeem'.
Their account balance should now update with the gifted amount.
If you are unsure of anything or get stuck please let me know what happens.Best regards,
How did you send the gift? Did you send it by email?
Take a look at this article:
Is this how you sent it? Do you remember scheduling it to send at a later date?
Did you send it from an iPod, iPhone or iPad? Or did you send it from your computer?
Ok, you can resend the gift from your iPhone until it is redeemed. To do so follow these steps:
If you have any problem with any of these steps let me know.
When you sent the gift you sent to their email address.
Try to login to the email account they were sent to and see if the email was received.
After re-sending it can take an hour or so to show up in their iTunes balance.
Have you located the email of the gift you sent to their email address associated with their iTunes account Apple ID?
On their devices, in the Featured section, scroll to the bottom to see their balance.
Can you see their balance?
You have tried everything that can be tried from this end. You have tried to re-send the gift from your iTunes, and nothing. This can happen but rarely. In these cases the only people who can resolve it are the iTunes Customer Support people.
They can only be contacted using a request form, but they will reply to your request. They are not contactable by telephone. The contact for is here:
Complete the form and submit it and they will check the accounts on their end to see what is causing the problem and fix it for you. They should reply within 24 hours.
You are very welcome, and I'm sorry it wasn't easier to fix without contacting the iTunes team directly like this. They are very good at handling these issues so I'm sure they will fix whatever glitch it is on the backend.Have a good day!
