I can check on this for you. What is your Apple ID and password *****?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
ID: ***@******.***
PW: johnmichael1998
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

the password ***** to have a capital letter, are you sure that is correct?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I've never needed to activate my phone with an id and password ***** only a password ***** purchase apps. Did you try***@******.*** (though my email does NOT have a capital R)? Is there any way you can clear all previous information (id and password) and/or unlock the phone remotely? Thank you.
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

okay, what is currently on your iPhone screen?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
An "Activate IPhone" screen, asking for my Apple ID and Password.
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

okay, enter the email as id>*****@******.***

then enter the password ***** a capital J> Johnmichael1998

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Just did. Now my phone is saying "Incorrect Apple ID --***@******.*** cannot be used to unlock this Iphone.":(
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

okay, is there another email that you may have used when you first set up the iPhone?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
When I first went into the Apple tech site on-line on my laptop tonight, my apple id was correctly showing up as***@******.*** The only other email I may have used for this IPhone is***@******.*** (I haven't been employed there for six months.) My password ***** thatt time was Sandy2005Should I try this information?
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

yes,

Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

that should work.

Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

let me know if it does not work, we will need to update the security on the account.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
That old id and password ***** unlocked my phone! But since I'm not there any longer, how do I change to a new id and password *****? Now after 12:30 a.m here and I have an early meeting tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

I can update it for you if you remember the security questions.

What is the name of the street where you grew up?

What was the name of your first pet?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Street Address: Cardinal Drive
First Pet: MattyWhen I tried answering those security questions, I kept getting "answer here", even though I was answering correctly! I did turn off "Find my Phone" in settings as soon as I could access it just now. If you update the security, then I can start using my new id --***@******.*** and password ***** Johnmichael1998 -- immediately? I really need to get some much-needed sleep now so don't want to spend more time on this tonight.
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

okay, let me know when you have time tomorrow and we can finish getting the account switched over.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Thanks. ***** have to pay again when I contact you tomorrow?
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.

no,

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Okay, thanks. When are you available tomorrow? Good night.
Expert:  tyroneboman replied 11 months ago.
